Dec 3 - 18 First Annual Gingerbread Factory at ENVY Steakhouse! The Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel is hosting its first annual Gingerbread Factory at ENVY Steakhouse, where kids are invited to decorate their own individual gingerbread houses, drawing from a myriad of candy selections and decorations, under the guidance of the staff. The cost is $35 per person in advance or $40 per person at the door, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to the Las Vegas Boys & Girls Club. FAMILY NIGHT OUT -- The Lili Claire Foundation's supporters took advantage of Lance Burton's Locals' Appreciation Weeks and came to see "Lance Burton: Master Magician" on Wednesday, Nov. 29th. After the 7 p.m. show was over Lance Burton greeted the families and signed autographs along with posing for photos with them. The Las Vegas chapter of the Lili Claire Foundation is at www.liliclairefoundation.org/ and takes on the causes of Williams Syndrome, Down Syndrome, Autism and other neurological-genetic disorders. Lance Burton's 3rd annual Locals' Appreciation Weeks ends Saturday, Dec. 9th. Tickets for locals are $35 including taxes plus a $3 handling. The master magician has appeared at the Monte Carlo Resort & Casino for over 10 years and was recently chosen by Nevada Magazine as "Entertainer of the Year for 2006." The World Salsa Championships is put on by a group of salsa lovers called The Salsa Seven Inc. under the leadership of celebrity Albert Torres. Highlights of this year’s championships will include the addition of an exhibition category called “Salsa Xtreme,” in which competitors will be required to use props with a creative edge as they dance. NEW `CRAZY GIRL' Valentina Smirnova who speaks Russian and English fluently moved to the U.S. to be in show business and landed in "Las Vegas' Sexiest Topless Revue" the "Crazy Girls" at the Riviera. The Russian beauty was a dancer and model when she arrived in San Francisco only to learn that Las Vegas had much more to offer for her career. She now appears nightly at 9:30 p.m. from Wednesdays thru Mondays in the all-new "Crazy Girls." . Valentina appeared in Maxim Magazine and as a fashion, fitness, catwalk and spokes-model. She was crowned Miss Russian California in 2003. She attended the Malinovsky Modeling and Dance School in Kaliningrad, Russia. In addition to being a dancer (jazz, modern, hip-hop, folk, burlesque and go-go) she has worked as a choreographer. She spent nine years as a gymnast competing in the Russian Federal and European Championships. She can also juggle and has a hula-hoop act. "Crazy Girls" will be dark from Dec.12-Jan. 3. ___

Now you can take a three hour bus tour that reveals the spookier side of Nevada's other "Neon City". According to Robert Allen, CEO and founder, "there are over forty ghosts that haunt the boundaries of Laughlin, Nevada, Bullhead City, Arizona and the surrounding Colorado River Recreation Area." Allen says, he based his tour on some of the stories found in the popular book Haunted Nevada written by Janice Oberding, as well many old local legends from the region. Your experience begins on the bus where tour guides, dressed as Grave Diggers, weave "eerie" stories about "dark and spooky" secrets. Strange tales of murders, suicides and haunted casinos fill the air, along with many interesting tidbits of the area's colorful past. Guests learn about the ghosts of the ill fated Oatman Girls, captured and tortured by Indians in 1850, and the notorious Red Ghost, whose fiery spirit is seen chasing through the desert at night. Included on your tour is a walk through an old cemetery haunted by a number of ghosts who refuse to leave even though they died in the 1860‘s One of the highlights of the tour is a stop at the old mining town of Oatman Arizona. The local inhabitants claim as many as eight ghostly spirits roam Oatman's dark unlit streets nightly. Two of the ghost are said to be that of Clark Gable and Carol Lombard who spent their honeymoon in the town in 1939. "Making people believers is not our goal", says Allen. "Our goal is to make the Haunted Laughlin experience fun for believers and non-believers alike". ___ Dec 29
