The Playboy Club Opens at the Palms Located at the top of The Palms Resort new Fantasy Tower For the first time in more than two decades, Playboy Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE:PLA) (NYSE:PLAA) will open a new Playboy Club as part of a multi-faced entertainment venue at the Palms Casino Resort. The Playboy Club will officially open for gaming on Friday night, October 6th, when Playboy Founder, Editor-in-Chief and Chief Creative Officer Hugh Hefner, Playboy Chairman and CEO Christie Hefner, Palms owner George Maloof, and N9NE Group principals, Michael Morton and Scott DeGraff, will gather in front of The Palms’ new Fantasy Tower to light a giant-size Playboy Rabbit Head that is emblazoned on the Tower’s side, facing the Las Vegas Strip. Following the “Lighting of the Rabbit” event, there will be the first official bet and party at the Playboy Club. On Saturday night, October 7th, a red-carpet event will be held. Playboy at The Palms Resort Playboy Comedy Tour __ Stardust to be "Echelon Place" Boyd Gaming has announced a $4 billion plan to demolish the old Stardust and replace it with a 63 acre hotel/casino complex called Echelon Resort to open in 2010. It will include four different hotels, 5,300 rooms in total, a 140,000 square-foot casino, theaters, shopping areas, convention space and more. Anchoring the project will be Echelon Resorts, two hotels (3,300 rooms) that will contain the casino and 24 different restaurants and bars. The other two hotels will be the Delano Hotel Las Vegas and Mondrian Hotel Las Vegas. The Stardust will continue to operate through the 2006 season and no date to close it has been given. __ Harrah's Quest! Speaking of Harrah's, I was in there the other day and the ladies working at the Total Rewards Club, were absolutely the friendliest women with smiles on their faces. They greeted my assistant and I and were just a pleasure to talk to. __ Circus Circus / Adventuredome Starting October 6th and every Thursday-Sunday night to Halloween the giant pink Adventuredome will become the Fright Dome, a giant indoor terror filled funhouse. We’re told the event typically runs from about 7pm to midnight at a cost of $29.95 and this year will include 5 haunted mazes: Chainsaw Massacre, Funhouse of Fear in 3D, Cellblock 13, Morgue of Misery, and new for 2006 Zombie Mansion.
